Rev. Dr. Julia M. McMillan
Dr. Julia M. McMillan, a native of Fayetteville, North Carolina, is the devoted wife of 30 plus years to Associate Pastor, Elder Terry S. McMillan, and together they are the proud parents of three children: Travis, Courtney and Kendall. They are also the proud grandparents of Imani, Tyler, and Ava.
After a 27-year educational career that spanned Elementary teacher to University Professor, Dr. McMillan answered the beckoning call of God and planted New Dawn Restoration Center in Tampa, Florida on August 4, 2007. As Founder and Senior Pastor, her primary focus is the Deliverance, Development and Deployment of the flock to which she is entrusted. Dr. McMillan is the educational and spiritual mentor to many and with great honor on June 27, 2013 she was formally installed and elevated to the lower house of the Episcopacy, as Overseer of the Kingdom Council of Interdependent Churches & Ministries, Southeast Region, by Bishop David M. Copeland, Presiding Prelate.
In 2009, she launched Dr. Julia M. McMillan Ministries as a means of “Reaching, Restoring, Renewing, and Reshaping” the lives of Christians and non-Christians, locally, nationally, and globally. The ministry accomplishes this by the transforming power of the word of God, training others to become Disciples of Christ, and teaching them to minister and to lead others in the way they should go. Additionally, she speaks at conferences around the country, conducts leadership development training for various churches, bible institutes, universities, and other organizations, and facilitates ministerial training in Ethics and Order.
Dr. McMillan holds a Bachelor’s degree in English & Communications from Virginia State University, a Masters of Business Administration from Florida Metropolitan University, a Masters of Religion, a Masters of Divinity and the Doctorate of Ministry degrees, each respectfully from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. McMillan currently serves as Professor of Organizational Ethics at Liberty University.
Additionally, she is author of the book, “Prophetic Crack: Pushers in the Pulpit, Addicts in the Pews,” one of the most prolific and provocative discourses on church membership, leadership, ethics, and integrity. To learn more, visit her at www.drjmcmillan.com.
